Job Description To prepare for and provide individual and small group tutorials in Lesley University undergraduate mathematics courses. Math tutors may also be assigned to tutor in writing and study skills. Tutors learn about and work with diverse learners: traditionally aged students, non-traditional students, students with learning disabilities or attention disorders, and second language or international students. Tutors have a high degree of responsibility in designing tutoring strategies and implementing them; they work with sensitive information that must be kept confidential. Tutors must also attend a weekly tutor forum for training and professional development. The staff at the CAA may assign other duties necessary to carry out the mission of the CAA.

Applicants must have completed at least 30 credits of coursework in order to apply. This position requires strong academic, communication and interpersonal skills. Previous tutoring experience is helpful. Applicant must be recommended by a faculty member and attend an interview with the Associate Director of the Center for Academic Achievement.
